Tiie Inspector said that three sheep had been examined, and all were found to ho badly infected. A line of £3 and costs 7s was imposed . Wiie following pleaded guilty and were mulcted in a line of £1 and ?s costs:—George Henry Lysnar, Chas Matthews, •* Charles Ernest Gibson, William. Melldowie (Mr Barnard/, Frederick John Lvsnnr (Mr Burnai'd/, Allan McLean (Mr Nolan), Patrick Joseph Parker, Abbotsford Smith, and Thomas Graham Mulcastor. Mr Biair appeared for George Henry Black, and explained that defendant, besides managing his own station, was looking after a station for his brother, who had.gone to the front. He was not present when the sheep haft the station for the sale, but had DorsonalJy seen the Hock properly dipped. A line of £3 and 7s costs was imposed... 'The Magistrate pointed-' out that dirty sheep sent to the sale ran the risk of infecting the sheep of owners who took the trouble to keep then sheep clean. There might lie something wrong with the dip used, hut this was no excuse, as the Act provided that sheep must be free from lice..
