An Important Judgment.

(Per Press Association). Wellington, Dec. 22. In the Supreme Court, Justice Edwards gave judgment in the case of Ros» kruge, of Picton, v. Michael Rvan, of Pahiatua, and P. H. Watty, of Wellington claiming £500 for fraudulent misrepresentation of the value of the furniture which was valued by Watty for Ryan. His Honor found that' a letter which passed between Watty and Ryan disclosed in unmistakable terms that it was a conspiracy to commit fraud in the vaination of the furniture, and on this head he gave judgment for £66. As to the misrepresentation of the takings, His Honor held that the value was fraudulently misrepresented to the knowledge of both defendants and the assessed damages on this count was entered at £200 with costs according to scale.
