The Aucklanders went in, the first innings closing for 131, Mills 35, Kallender 28, and Pabst 20, being the top scorers. Hitch well kept wickets remarkably well for Queensland and the fielding was remarkably fine, not a single extra beini' recorded. Wilson bowled with remarkable success, taking 8 wickets for 35 rims. The visitors' inniogs produced 179 for the loss of 4 wickets, ihe scoring being free and the exhibition of batting good. Jones topped the list with 58, Bradley (not out) 49, coining next, and then came Donaboo 4c>, and Ho are 16. The match will be resumed to morrow.
