THE GRABS ON COUNTRY ROADS. TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— Will the members of our Road Boards be responsible fot our burnt fences by that fire which is sure to take place when the great quantity of grass, now growing ! between the stabs and other descriptions of fences Becomes dry? Appointing a ranger at this time of the year to prevent the cottagers' cows keeping the grass down, and the fences from the risk of fire, must be a mistake, and will end in muoh mischief. I am, etc., John Hoi-ben. Makino, Dec. 21, 1896.
