(From Our Own Correspondent.) All Rongotea young and old— are ; looking forward to the fancy fair opening on Saturday evening, the 19th instant, in aid of the Anglican Church fund. We note on the programme — Hat-trim-ming (men only), bran tubs, and last, but not least, that which Rongotea is ! noted for — strawberrys and cream. i The concert in aid of school prizes i comes off on Thursday night, and the i youngsters are very busy. i Hay making is being pushed on rapidly and already stacks are to be seen in all directions. ! Farmers are looking anxiously for rain i and most of them fear a severe dronght. i Additions to the school are nearly completed and Rongotea can now present as good a building as most in the , district. i The contractors for the Primitive Methodist Church are pnshing on rapidly , with the work.
