A skeleton, supposed to be that of a missing deaf and dumb man named Fleming, fonnd between Mangapira and Bay of Islands, lost in the bash ia 1894. Hjs companions ' state he went into the shed and^presently \ called out " I'm poisoned." He diod shortly afterward. Two boetlc,3 containing carbolic acid for disinfecting purposes had been left in tbe shed a day before by a Maori who was carrying them to his employer's private residence.
