(From Oar Own Correspondent) Mr Bailey delivered a political address at Apiti last night, when there were about one hundred persons present, Mr H. Tolly being in the chair. Mr Bailey had to defend his position in respect to the Prohibition question and several unimportant questions were asked and answered satisfactorily. The chairman said he had some questions to ask but being in the chair could not do so, he, also, ruled that other questions which some persons desired to ask caald not be put as the hoar was late. At the conclusion of his address a vote of thanks and confidence was accorded to Mr Bailey, and three cheers were given for Mr Lethbridge by about half those present.
