Wellington Cafe.
I (Per Prens Association.) j Wellington, Nov. 14. i I Additions of a most extensive character j have been made to Mr George Bodley'g Cafe and Private Hotel, Lambton»quay (opposite the end of Grey-street), Welling- i ton, and the establishment is one of the j largest and most complete of the kind in | the colony. When Mr Bodley completed I the erection of fche original building about a year ago he expected that he would in due course find it hecessary to enlarge it, but had no idea that the requirements of the public would call for the execution of the work so soon. The additions have been completed at a cost to the proprietor i of about i*3ooo. Two stories have been added to the original two ot the hotel and the accommodation has been more tban doubled. The present number of rooms is 96, of which 76 are bedrooms for the i use of visitors. Mr Bodley states that he can easily find excellent sleeping accom- > modation for fully 100 persons. On the ! first floor are bedrooms for ladies and married couples, and facing the street in that part of the building are iwo large sitiing-rooms, one for either sex. Equally comfortable sittingrooms are to be found in other parts of the house and there are bathrooms on each floor. All the sleeping quarters in the establishment are well lighted and well ventilated and comfortably furnished. The main dining room which is on the ground floor, has been ' enlarged and improved in various ways, and alongside it there is a diningroom for ladies only, enabling Mr Bodley to seat 100 people at once. k The hotel is complete in every respect and Mr Bodley's enterprise in creating • such fioe premises will doubtless be amply ' rewarded.
