o The above sports were held yesterday and proved very successful, about 1800 persons being present. The courteous and energetic secretary, Mr W. H. Collingwood, deserves to be complimented on the success of his efforts to make tbe sports popular. Following are the results of the principal events : — 120 Yards Flat.— T. Clark, i ; D. M. Bicycle Race, Two Miles : C. Burton, 1 ; P. Osgood, 2 ; W. H. Lewis, 3. Time 7 inins. Half Mile.— S. Haines, 1 ; F. Mullin, 2 ; F. E. Wyeth, 3. Time 2 mins 19 sees. High Jump. — F. Ansley, 1. At the Wellington Sports yesterday, in the cycling events, F. Hunt won the three mile first class scratch race, the five, two, and one mile Handicap races and second to Barker in the five mile scratch record race.
