(Per Press Association) London, Nov. 6. The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve to be £2i3,470,000 and proportion of reserve to liabilities 5 19. Three months' bills are discounted at S 9-16 th per cent. Consols, 109^. Now South Wales 4 per cent, 118 ; 3J per cent, 106 ; 3 per cent 100 4 1 . Victorian 4 per cent, 111^ ; 3£ per cent, 104^. South Australian 4 per cent, 110^ ; 3£ per cent, 109. Queensland 4 per cent, 110£ ; 8£ per cent, 105£. Tasmanian 3£ per cent, 107£. West Australian 3£ per cent, 108|., New Zealand 4 per cent, HOf ; 3? per cent, 105^- ; 3 per cent, 99i. New Zealand frozen mutton, first quality, 3|d ; second, 3£d ; lamb, 3|d. New Zealand hemp, unchanged. Wheat — New York red, number 2 red, winter firm. The English wheat market is firm with an upward tendency. Continental is showing an upward ten dency, while American is advancing continuously. The sugar market is firai. German beet, 9s l^d ; Java, 10s 9d.
