The Wreck of the Dayspring.
THE MISSING BOAT TUKNS UP. [Per Press Association! Brisbane, Oct. 31. The missing boat oli the Dayspring has arrived safely at Gape Capricorn. The men were very exhausted. They report that the boat was capsized in mid-ocean, but was righted, and that that they lost all their provisions and freshwater. Very rough weather was experienced in reaching the Queensland coast. This Day. The Dayapring's boat first struck a barren island in the Chesterfield Group. She then made for Long Island, which, was reached on October 23rd. The sea at the landing place was infested . with sharks, which swarmed round the boat and savagely sqapped al; the oars. The men landed and got a aupnly of wa,tes from the taqks, at ah qld wh&h'ng station,. They also found plenty of turtles' '" eggs, and obtained a supply oi cocoanuts and killed a turtle. They stayed on the island for four days recruiting themselves. The remainder of the voyage was with* out any note* worthy o£ incident. The successful issue of the voyage is remark- : ! able, considering that Caxmicbael had no ' chart, and lost hw sextant and map when tbe boat capsized.
