♦- (Per Press Association.) Gisborne, October 29. The Gisborne Mining Association today sent out two prospecting parties to thoroughly search the back country for minerals. Napier, Oct. 30. So far no candidate is definitely in the field against Capt. Russell for Hawkes' Bay, but the Eev. Mr Hosking has expressed his intention of standing in the Prohibition interest in the event of no other coming forward. Dunedin, Oct. 29. At Milton today William Anderson was fined £30 and costs for selling liquor without a license.
