vr Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — We have only our Palmerston sale of yesterday to report upon. Tbe entries of sheep was moderate and made up mostly of shorn fats. Bidding was dull and prices easier, tbe cattle in fewer numbers. A good portion being beef, the most of which was sold. Other sorts oi cattle were slow of sale, especially a line of milch cows in poor condition that were offered without reserve, and make from 20s to 50s. We quote : Cull wethers, 10s ; store wethers, 11s 9d ; fat shorn wethers, 7s 8d ; forward do., 6s lOd ; ligbt weight fat ewes, 5s 3d ; empty ewes in wool, os 9d. Fat bullocks, i's 15s to £6 ; forward bullocks, M 5; fat heifer, £i 15s ; mixed yearlings to 18- months 26s 6d ; good milch cows, M 7s 6d to _4 15s. Freeman R.Jackson and Co., Wanganui stock report : — Fair entries came forward at Waverley and Wanganui. Bidding was brisker at Waverley, and we quitted the whole of the entry except one small pen of sbeep. At Wanganui the bidding was on a par with late sales, and a part of tbe entry was turned out unsold. Pigs sold at last sale's rates. We quote : — Cattle : At Waverley— Cows, ±2 2s 6d to £3 7s ; cows and calves, £3 ; steers, £2 10s to £3 3s ; heifers, ±2 5s ; fat cows, L 4. At Wanganui — Yearlings, 27s 6d ; weavers, 15s ; cows, L 2 to L 2 17s 6d ; steers. L 2 10s to L 2 12s. Sbeep : At Waverley— Wethers, hoggets, 10s Sd ; wethers, lls to 12s ; dry ewes, 6s 5d to 9s Id ; mixed hoggets, Ss Id. At Wanganue — Ewes and lambs, 10s Id ; fat ewea, 10s 9d to lls. Pigs— Baconers, 22s to iS9s ; porkers, lls to 10s ; smali pigs, os 9d to 8s 9d.
