The Apiti Bridge.

The formal opening of the Apiti bridge will take place at one o'clock tomorrow, when the Premier will assist. The Pre- j mier will arrive in Feilding by the 7.15 a.m. train from Palmerston, and will be driven to Apiti by Mr D Younger. After the usual speech making at the Bridge, where a free lunch will be provided, an adjournment will be made to Apiti, where a banquet will be held in Guy's Hall at 6 o'clock. After the banquet the Premier will deliver a political address in the same hall. It is expected there will be a large attendance at the demon* stration, including a number from Feilding. The locality at which the bridge has been erected is about six miles from Birmingham, or half way between that place and Apiti.
