Rongotea Notes.
(From Our Own Correspondent) i Mr J. Dillon met with a nasty acci- . dent while working on the new school i building at Rongotea yesterday, when , he fell to the ground, a distance of about thirty feet, breaking his thigh in the descent. Yesterday morning the peace of the district was greatly disturbed by the ; rapid and unwelcome visit of the County ranger who came when least expected and made a good haul, mnch to the annoyance of some and amusement of others. i Mr Clark, who recently went Home to bring ont the resi of his family, is back again looking well aod hearty. He brings with him the books for the Roneo tea Public .Library which we hope toeee soon open. Matters are very quiet here re the election. Mr Brace paid a flying visit to the district a few days ago. The Hon. W. Johnston is having a number of improvements done on the Kopani in the way of draining, fencing, stumping, and ploughing, and should get some very heavy crops as it ie some of the richest land in the colon y.
