The Elite Comedy Company.
To-morrow night Messrs Delohery, Craydon, and Holland's Elite Company will commence their season in the Assembly Rooms for two nights only, 17th and 19th. This is undoubtedly the best comedy company which has visited New Zealand for some considerable time, and their bouses during their short stay should be packed. The press of New Zealand speak in the highest terms of the combination, as an instance of which we quote the following from the Auckland Herald, of July 9th :— " The advent at the Opera House of Delohery, Craydon, and Holland's Company from Sydney has filled a void in the amusement world of Auckland, and filled it with the greatest success. At the opening performance the house was packed. The sale of circle tickets was stopped ten minutes before the performance commenced, and money was turned away at the doors. We unhesitatingly declare the Company the best of its kind which has ever visited Auckland." On Sunday, the 18th inst, a sacred and classical concert will be given, and a special programme will be prepared, consisting of such songs as " The Holy City," " Calvary," " Nazareth," etc. Admission by collection.
