THE COMING ELECTIONS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— As I see from the Stab that Mr Lethbridge is going to stand for Parliament. I hope all thorough Liberals would like to know if he will stand as an independent Liberal and pledge himself to do all in his power to turn the Seddon Government out, and put in a new Liberal Government. If he will stand for the above, I will gladly do my utmost to put him in. But if he stands as a Conservative and for Prohibition — which I consider slavery, taking the liberty away from the people of the colony — I will do all in my power to keep him out, even if the colony should go to Jerusalem. I am, etc., Elector.
