Dairy Produce.
John McNairn and Company, of Glasgow, report under date sth September : —Cheese.— In our last circular we intimated that the sale had been miserable for United States and Canadian cheese, but since that time a rapid advance has stimulated the demand, and, during the past fortnight, a large trade has been concluded at rapidly advancing prLes, the spot prices to-day being for Choicest Summer States and Canadian Cheese, 40s to 425. At the moment there are large arrivals of Scotch cheese, both mediums and choicest, and, meantime, these are being taken up by the trade as being better value than Canadian at the moment. Colonial cheeses are now entirely off the market, bat we look forward to their being eagerly picked up on their arrival, the quality last year having pleased so well. We strongly recommend our friends this season to send forward their cheese half colored and half white, the demand this year running so far more on white than colored.
