NEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, September 25. Stephen Boscher, who figured as a prominent witness in the Petone murder case, was to-day committed for trial on three charges, stealing a horse and cart and forcing a bill. During the passage of the Regent Murray, from Sharpness, a sailor named Wilhelm Kronsman. while furling sails, fell from aloft to the deck. Ho broke his left arm and dislocated his wrist. A singular coincidence is that the accident happened on the same date (August 10th) as CoHche fell from aloft on tbe ship Westland, which arrived yesterday, but in the latter case the seaman was killed. Capt. Andrew on behalf of the New Zealand Minerals Co., has arranged with owners the option of the mines for six months of the Old Caledonian and Scotia quartz reefs, Hindon, near Dnnedin. The claims were partially worked some some years ago, and before securing option were reported on by Mr Beale, Civil Engineer for the Minerals Company.
