Sinking of a Steamer
SEVERAL LIVES LOST. (Per Press Association). Melbourne. This Day. The steamer Bougong sprang a leak off Snowy Riyar. She struck and sank in entering the mouth of the river. The crew of eight attempted to swim ashore. The captain, the engineer, and a seaman landed greatly exhausted, but three others — Huystmans, Anderson, and Astrop are missing.
