Cycling Notes.

The committee of the Feilding Cycling Club mot at the club rooms last evening. The captain (Mr E. A. Feck) in the chair. It was decided that tho opening day be on Wednesday, September 30, and that it be celebrated with an opening run on (be afternoon of that day, to start at 2.30 from Manchester Square, and that the route be to Colyton via Kimbolton and Ashurst roads and back to Feilding via Taonui, when all riders, including nonmembers, will be invited to attend. It was resolved to hold a road race at 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 7, for one of Mr J. Scott's medals, the course to be from the Kiwitea stream to the centre of Manchester Square, and that an entrance fee of Is be charged, entries to close on the evening of Tuesday, the 29th inst; that a lantern parade be held on the evening of October 7. It was decided to hold the annual race meeting on January 22, as usual. With reference to the question of holding a social in connection with the club, it was decided to suggest that a picnic be held during the summer. Minses J. Bray and A. Brunette were elected members of the club.
