NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of this Council, at a Special Meeting to be held on Friday, the 16th October, 1896, to confirm the following- Special Order : — That this Council resolves that a Special Rate of twopence (2d) in the £ be struck over the rateable value of Sections No. 37 and 38, Block XII, Apiti Survey District, for the purpose of providing interest on a loan of .£l2O, to be borrowed under " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for construction of 26 chains Main Cross-road in the Mangoira Coal Creek Block, being part of the Mangapikopiko and Coal Creek Ridings of the above County, such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and to be payable at the office of the Council in two instalments on the first day of January and the first day of July in each year.
