The following horses accepted for th. principal event, Hawkesbury Granc Handicap, 1 mile and three furlongs :— Waterfall 9st 51b, Messmate Bst6lb, Th< Skipper Bst 41b, The Captain, Roya Rose, Form, Response Bst, Gaulus, ftighl Honorable, Checkmate, The Meddler 7sl 101 b, _Eolus 7st 61b, Tridentate, Sam The Sketch 7st 21b, Euroka, Troilus 7st Erehwon 6st 101 b, Blue Peter. Robir Hood, First Shot, Vigilance, Redavni Fadladeen 6st 81b, Sabretache, Bonanz. 6st 71b. Royal Rose and The Captain, carrying Bst 21b each, finished second and tbirc respectively in the August Handicap one mile and a quarter and 100 yards won by Bal Sal, 7st 81b at Rosehill Royal Rose was only beaten in the lasl 100 yards.

At the sale of Mr Baker's horses or Wednesday, The Artist was withdrawn pending, it is stated, a settlement rt ownership of the son of Somnus.
