New Zealand Produce.
(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, August 30. Mr Sinclair, the Government agent in London, gives a few pointers that may be of value to New Zealand producers. In his last communication to the Government he says that there is a good market in Scotland for Victorian butter. «The largest importation sof cheese in that country are from Canada ; but considerable quantities are coming from New Zealand, that Colony's article having estftb. liahed a good reputation in Scotland. Good cured bacon could be bought retail by the side for 6£d per lb, but prices vary according to the quality. With regard to the green fruit trade, the principal salesmen of Glasgow expressed a desire to do business direct with the growers. They stated that at times higher average prices could be obtained in Glasgow than in London, on account of heavy supplies being concentrated in the latter city. Mr Sinclair concludes by remarking that Glasgow being a large manufacturing centre, meat, if sold at a moderate price, would meet with a large demand.
