In the second innings the Australians, who require 176 to save an innings defeat, have lost 1 wicket for 27. September 2. Despite tbe inclement weather 5000 people were present at the match. The rain delayed the game being resumed for some time and when a start was made th© bowlers were almost unplayable. Darling skied his first ball to mid-on and retired.
