The weekly returns of the Bank of England published to day show the total reserve to be £85.892,000, and tbe proportion of reserve to liabilities 58-64. New Zealand 4 per cent, 117 f ; 3£ per cents, 109 J ; 3 per cents, 103|. New Zealand frozen mutton, first quality, 3|d ; second, 2£d ; lamb, 4^d. English wheat market shows a general advance of 6d. There is also a general advance in Continental, while American has an upward tendency. Tallow, mutton, fine quality, 19s 9d ; medium, 18s 6d. Beef, fine quality, 17s 9d; medium, 17s. The little daughter of Mr Fred Webber, Holland, Mass., had a very bad cold and cough whicb be had not been able to cure with anything. I gave bim a bottle of Chamberlain's Cou_b Remedy, says W. P.
