I Per Press Association. I Wellington, Tbis Day. The Banking Committee resumed at 10.30. The examination of Mr Watson by Mr Seddou was continued.. The witness promised to bring before the directors the Premier's suggestion that the bilis for legal costs incurred by the bank shonkl bo taxed. He had heard the Government had assisted the Colonial Bank to tho exteut of £150,000 but knew nothing improper in connection therewith, aud thought such assist anco legitimate.
