Mr Macarthur, M.P., is a passenger for Australia by the Panamatta. The Sultan is represented as anxious to settle the Cretan difficulty, and is likely to accept the latest scheme suggested by the Powers. Brussels, August 24. Tillett has been expelled from Belgium. Berlin, August 23. A political crisis is imminent, and Prince Hoheulohe and the whole of the Ministry are likely to resign after the Czar's visit, unless the Kmperor sanctions the procedure of certain measures suggeested by the Government.
