Fatal Boating Accident.
(Prr Press Association.) Auckland, August 24. A boating Accident at Northern Wairoa en Wednesday resulted in the drowning of Geo. Barker. Barker, aud another man named Gintop, left Dargaville in tbe evening aud proceeded up • tbe river m a boat. When about 16 miles on tbe journey the boat capsized, , and both men were thrown into the ! water. Gintop clung to tbe boat and i eventually got ashore, but Barker sank at once. The body has not been re- . covered.
