WELLINGTON v. AUCKLAND.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, August 22. The Interprovincial Football match played to-day in Potter's paddock, Wellington v. Auckland was witnessed by over 6000 spectators and resulted—Wellington three point* (a try), Auckland nil. McKenzie scored a try in the second spell 20 minutes before time. In the first spell Auckland had very bad luck. From a free kick Absoram all bat landed a goal, the ball striking the bar. The team* dined together and go for a harbour ex* cursion to-morrow, to which the Taran* aki repi were invited.
