The Timber Industry.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The Secretary of the Trades Department here has advised that the timber trade in England continues brisk, and there is a large demand for suitable J timber. Mr O. Smith, Secretary, states that the white pine which was sent Home in tbe trial shipment of New Zealand timberß realised the highest price, and desires to direct the attention of the trade to the opening of the market.
