I Per Press Association.! Auckland, August 19. The Wellington team of footballers arrived by the Mahinapua this morning to carry out their engagements with the local representatives next Saturday at Potter's paddock. The visitors were met at Ouehuuga by Mr G. H. Dixon (secretary) and other officials of the Auckland Rugby Union, besides a number of local footballers, and conveyed to town in a brake. With regard to the visitors defeat by Taranaki yesterday the Captain attributes the loss simpty to the fact of their having met with a better tfiam. The match on Saturday is creating a great amount of interest amongst followers of the Kugby came in Auckland.
