St. Bridget's Church.

There was an overflowing attendance at the aervices of the above Churoh yesterday morning, wbich included a large numder from other various denominations. Tho musical portion of the programme was of a specially attractive order, owing to the fact of Miss Aggie Smith and Miss Maude Kewson, two members of Pollard's Opera Company, giving their cervices for the occasion. The beautiful Eyrie, corn--posed by Carnod, was spendidly sung by Mr T. St Lawrence Toner, tbat compo- | sition affording tbe gentleman full scope for the display of his powerful and cultivated voice. Millard's " Aye Verum " was rendered by Miss Aggie Smith in a style that will long be remembered, it being snng with devotional and impressive fervour. The same lady also gave Luzzi's " Aye Maria," wbich waß much admired. Mr St. Lawrence Toner was heard to the greatest advantage in the solo " The Voice of the Lord Repentant," the solo being vocally declaimed with great power and vigor. He also sane with fine effect " O Cor Marie," the piece giving much pleasure to all by the force and expression with whicb it was given. Miss Maude Hewson feelingly sang an " Aye Maria," the vocalisation of the singer being perfect. The incidental|music to the Mass was Locke's, and was performed by Mr Toner, who pre* sided at the organ, in a most creditable manner. Those present were certainly afforded a musical treat of the highest order, and the Rev. Father Patterson acknowledged bis appreciation of the valuable assistanpp given by tbe Misses Smith and Hewson and Mr Toner. An able sermon was preached by ibe Rey. Father Patterson.
