THE MATABELE RISING. (Per Press Association .1 Capetown, July 29. General Carrington reports want of men hampers the rapid and effective crashing of the Matabele, and even if more were sent he would be unable to feed them owing to the difficulty of transport. All efforts will now be directed to secure supplies before the rain sets in. Robertson's Cape contingent will complete the forts at Motappo Hills, girdling the enemy in all directions except the north.
