Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co report on their Johnsonville sale as follows : — The cattle entered for sale consisted of good bullocks and a line of fair cows. The bidding was brisk, and they sold at over last sale prices. Sheep were in limited numbers. They also sold at an advance. Cattle— Bullocks, £7 5s to £1 17s 6d ; others, £6 12s 6d to £7 Is ; cows, L 4 5s to L 5 12s 6d ; ox beef made 17s and cow beef 15s 6d. Sheep— Wethers, 12s 7d to 14s 6d ; ewes, 12s 6d Pigs— Baconers, 25s ; porkers, 15s to 17s ; stores, 10s to 12s ; small pigs, 5s to 7s 6d. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui report. — We had rather a small entry at Waverjey, consisting mostly of sheep, and cleared the yards before the close of the day. At Wanganui the entry consisted mainly of cattle, a few pens of fat sheep being yarded. There was a good muster of pigs, but no improvement in prices. We quote :— Cattle — At Waverley : Yearlings, 2gs fjd to 31s j calves, 15s ; steem, £3 Is to i' 3as tid ; cows. J& 2s fld to £» 4s fid ; fat cows, 14 to i 4 10s. At Wanganni: Fat cows, £9 to £3 16s ; steers, £'6 8s to £4 10s ; wcaners, 203 6d to 24s ; milch cows, A3 to £5 Bs. Sheep — At Waverley : Ewes in lamb, 6s 8d to 9s Id ; wethers, 10s 7d to 12s ; hoggets, 8s 6d. At Wanganui : Wethers, Us 3d to 18s Id. Pigs — Baconers, 22s ; porkers, 9s 9d to 153 6d ; smaller pigs, 5s 7d to 7s Id. • I
