The Treasurer's Financial Statement emanated that the present year would ah iw a surplus of L 19,000 but the anticip*non was not realised, as the revenue fell short by L 362.000, while the expenditure slightly exceeded the estimate. After providing for Treasury Bills the deficit will be L 112.000 for the year, but as July and August have yet to be reckoned with, the possible deficit will not exceed L 70.000 The accreted deficit amounts to 1i3,210,000.
