Parliamentary Motes.
Wellington, Jane 28. la the the House to-day Mr Pirani asked the Minister of Justice whether it is intended to establish Supreme Court sittings at Palmerston North. The Minister replied he believed Mr Pi rani had made out a good case and, while he was favorable to the suggestion he could not give effect to it until it was considered in conjunction with other cases of a similar nature. In reply to Mr Pirani, the Post-master General said tenders would be invited for a bi-weekly mail service to Salisbury Block, and a daily service to Apiti at the end of the year. In asking the Minister of Lands whether he intended making provision for the completion of the Pahiatua-Pal-merston road, Mr Pirani pointed out that owing to the Gorge bridge being washed away the Pahiatua road was largely used for travelling stock, making it almost impassable iv winter. The Minister said if Mr Pirani would give his assurance that Government would not be called on to re-instate tho Gorge bridge, he would promise to complete the Pahiatua road.
