(Per Press Association.! London, July 24. Sir R, Webster has served a notice of petition to liquidate the London branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia. It will be beard on August sth. The solicitors advise that as the Bank has not defaulted, there is no chance of the petition being granted. The proceedings in London will not effect the Bank's position in Australia. The proxies of the British depositors are in favor of a scheme of reconstruction by about L 1,400,000 to L 25.000. _____
