(Per Press Association.) Wellington, Jnly 22. Mr Pirani's Truck Amendment Bill , was opposed by the Premier, who said j the measure really amounted to a repeal of the Truck Act. , The Bill was criticised at considerable length, and the motion to go into Committee carried by 29 to 24. At clause 2, " interpretation," the Prrmier moved to report progress, wlrch, after some debate, was carried. The House rose at 12.30. July 23. The House was occupied all the afternoon with local and private members Bills. The Criminal Code Bill was read a third time and passed. The Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill (Buick) was read a second time. The Shearers' Accommodation Bill (Steward) and Domestic Servants Half-Holiday Bill passed through Committee, the latter measure being amended so as to include male servants. Mr Collins Divorce Act Amendment Bill was reported from the Committee with amendment and passed its final stages by 49 to 11. Mr O'Kegan's Referendum Bill was read a second time on the voices and the Government proposed to take up the measure with few alterations. The House rose at 12.45.
