[fbom oub own cobbespondent.] ' Tbe anniversary social in connection ' With the Apiti Wesleyan Church was '"' held in, Mr Guy's Hall. on Wednesday evening last, when there was a good J attendance. Mr Gascoigne acted as chairman, and after the opening hymn and prayer, gave a short address. Tbe programme was contributed to by the following:— Pianoforte duet, Miss Edie and Nellie Gascoigne ; songs, by Mr B. Miller, Miss Edie Gascoigne, Mrs Guy, . Miss Buckman, Miss Watson, Miss Nellie Gascoigoe, Mr F. Miller ; dialogue, " Mrs Jugwater's story," Miaa Olive Buckman and. Master NeaT Eager; vocal duet, Misses Edie aria Evelyn Gascigne ; vocal duet Mrs Starr and Miss Buckman; : recitation and speech, Mr Field ; reading, Mr Gascoigne ; a financial statement of the position of the church was given by Mr Guy, and several selections were given by the choir. The concert was very successful and provided a pleasant evening's entertainment.
