Mr R. E. Beckett reports as follows : — I held a very successful sale at Marton on Friday, the yards were well filled with both sheep and cattle, the former being keenly competed for and were nearly all sold under the hammer, at an advance on late rates, wethers being greatly in demand. Cattle— 2 to 2£-yr bullocks £8 ss ; fat heifers, £5; fat cows, £4 16s ; weaners 12s to 20s ; year* lings, 28s to 325 ; milch cows, £3 2s to £5. Sheep— Fat wethers 10s 2d; store wethers, 9s 4d ; fat ewes, 6s 7d, 7s 6d, 7s Bd, 8s 7d ; store ewes, 3s 9d, 5s 4d, 6s 6d, 6s lid ; ewes in lamb, 6s 3d, 7s, 8s 7d, 9s Id ; ldsabs, 4s Id, 5s Bd, 6s 7d ; 2-tooth ewes, 7s 6d. Pigs— Weaner pigs, 4s 6d to 6s 3d ; bacon pigs, 30s. _
