Re-distribution of Cabinet Portfolios.
The redistribution of Cabinet portfolios has been decided upon as follows — The Premier resigns the position of Defence Minister, and, in addition to the Treasurership, assumes the portfolio of PostmasterGeneral, and takes charge of the Government Insurance Department. The Hon. T. Thompson takes the portfolio of Defence, in addition to that of Minister of Justice. The Hon. Hall-Jones takes that of Minister of Marine; while the Hon. John McKenzie assumes control of the Advances to Settlers Department.
