Stock Market.
Mr C. Carr reports :— I held another most successful sale in Feilding on Friday, May 22nd. Upwards of 50 pens, including 7000 sheep, besides 100 head of cattle were yarded. The attendance was large, many buyers being present. All the sheep were sold except 450, and most of tbe cattle found purchasers at recent values. Prices obtained were : — Cattle — 18 months to 2 years steers, £2 0s 6d to £2 7s ; 2-years steers, £2 17s ; fat cows, £4 5s to £'4 14s ; forward cows, £3 10s ; stores, L 2 15s. Sheep — 2-tooth ewes in lamb, 6s 9d to 7s 6d ; mixed lambs, 4s 6d to 5s 3d ; 280 8- month lambs, bred by Major Moore, Kiwitea, 5s 8d ; woolly lambs, 5s Gd ; shorn lambs, 2s 6d to 5s 3d ; an extra good line of 150 2 and 4-tooth Lincoln wethers (stores) (bred by C.A, J.Levett, Esq., Kiwitea,) 9s 8d ; fat wethers, 9s lOd ; otber wethers, 8s Id to 8s Bd.
