* (Per Press Association.) Wellington, May 18. Argument for accused was concluded in the case Begins v. Annie Brown before the Court of Appeal this morning. Mr Jellicoe further elaborated th» points made by him yesterday, and discussed at length the authorities on coercion of a wife by a husband, contending it was not necessary tbo husband should be present, but there must be acquittal if the jury found actual control by the husband, though absent. Counsel further con* tended the rules as to' the admissibility of aces and declarations of one accused as Against another on a charge of Conspiracy did not apply to the case of a joint indictment for the commission of a distinct substantive felony. Argument for the Crown will be heard this afternoon. The Court reserved its decision.
