A mtetiog of the Shaotinj? Committee of the Manchester Biflea was held in the orderly room last night, Capt. Kirton in the chair. There were also present Lts. Barhrop and Bray, Sergis. Aitken and Parker, .Voli. Scott, Say well, Evans, and the Secretary. A letter was received from Capt. Chicken, Napier Rifles, with reference to a match between the corps.— lt was decided that a match be arranged. The following arrangements for the Company's prize firing on Monday nest were decided upon :— There shall be one class only and no handicapping, each winner to select his prize in rotation according to the points scored ; ranges 300 and 500 yds, 10 shots at each range ; no sighting shots allowed ; ammunition free, but each competitor to subscribe mie shilling towards the cost of refreshments and marker. The Captain, liiems. Bray and Batitrop, and YoK Scott were appointed a sub com* mitta to deal with the prizes on the range. The Captain having ordered a parade at 8 a.m., on Monday next, it was deoided to commence shooting immediately after the parade is dismissed. Vol. T. Evans was appointed innrker for the day. Capt. Eirton moved a hearty vote of "thanks to the donors ot itie many handsome prizes to be competed for on the 25th.— Carried by acclamation. The meeting then adjourned.
