Oroua Rugby Union.
A meeting of delegates of the Oroua Bugby Union was held at Mr Harrison's Hotel, Birmingham, on the evening of 16th May. Delegates were present from — Apiti Club, Messrs Dally and Mc> Guire ; Rangiwahia, Messrs Marshall and Craig ; Birmingham, Messrs Harrison and Barlow ; Cheltenham, Mr Fanthorpe (by proxy). Colyton was not represented. Mr Harrison was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received from the Colyton Football Club, Manawatu Uniou, and H. Templer. Proposed by Mr Marshall, seconded by Mr Dally, That the colours of the Birmingham Club be the colours of the Oroua Union.— Carried. Besolved, That subscriptions for each Club to Union be £1 lis 6d per annum. Besolved, That representatives of delegates from three Clubs form a quorum. Proposed by Mr Dally, seconded by Mr Marshall, That the following words be added to rule 2 : That all matches with Buahine be played on day appointed except thoso with Apiti Club, iv which case, should the river be too high to cross, match must be postponed. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Barlow, seconded by Mr McGuire, That fixtures as drawn up be adopted with exception of those on 16th which will be postponed to ls August. — Carried. A report was received from Mr Harrison re meeting with Manawatu Union at Feilding. Notice of motion was given by Mr Marshall to atter Ruabine colours from black with blue sash to maroon and blue hoops. Resolved, That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the chairman, .— < imp—^w^w^^ ;
