Attempt to Wreck a Train.

[Per Press Association. Melbourne, This Day, An attempt was made to wreck the night mail train to Sydney near Broadmeadows. Several heavy pieces of timber were placed in the vicinity of the points with the intention to throw the engine off, but it miraculously managed to keep on the right track. The passengers, of whom there were 300 on board, experienced a severe jolting.
