At the inquest on the boy Kilsby, who died under chloroform, the evidence ebowed lhat all precautions were taken aod the death was pure misadventure, a verdict being returned accordingly. Dr Chappie was asked if he could explain why (here bad been co many deaths of late in the Colony while patients were under the influence of chloroform. He replied that he could not give an explanation except (hat the climatic conditions might have had something to do with the matter.
