Feilding Quoit Club.
An adjourned meeting was held in Mr Reade's office yesterday afternoon of gentlemen interested in the formation of a Quoit Club in Feilding. The attend* ance was not large owing to the^half* holiday. Mr Kirton was appointed chairman, and Mr Reade interim secretary. The following gentlemen sent intimations that they were willing to become members :— Charles Bray, senr., H. H, Knowles, G. Kirton, A. R. Curtis, Simp* son, C. H. Coote, E. Giesen, William Light, G. Younger, J. Valentine, J. S. Palmer, Graham, L. E. Beade, Arthur Knowltts, Thos. Evans, I). Younger. ■ Mr H. H. Knowles proposed, and Mr Reado seconded, That a Qaoit Club be formed to be called the " Feilding Quoit Club."— Carried. Resolved, That Messrs D. Younger and H. H. Knowles be appointed a deputation to wait on Mr E. Giesen. the agent of the Colonists' Corporation with a view to obtaining a suitable site, and to report at a future meeting. That a meeting be held at the Man* Chester Hotel on Tuesday, the 19th May, at 7.30 p.m., to receive the report of the Ground Committee, to appoint officers, to decide on terms of subscription ; and general business. * The meeting then adjourned with the usual vote of thanks to the chairman.
