(Per Press Association). Sydney, May 8. The Premier, speaking at Lithgow, outlined the Government programme. Between 30 and 35 measures would be introduced this session, embracing alien restriction, referendum to be applied to disputes between both Houses, rabbits, electoral reforms, law reform, coal mines, regulation of factories and workshops. The A.M. P. meeting adopted the report. The result of the ballot for the Directors will not be known for a few days. This Day. Enormous artesian wells have been struck near WaJgett, yielding five million gallons daily. They are the largest yet found in the colony. The Premier says that the statement made by the Minister of Agriculture, to tne effect that Government would assist Mildura as long as necessary, was not warranted. The Government will, he adds, give temporary relief until the Commission submits its report. If the latter is adverse the Government will then have to seriously consider what to do in the mattsr. Adelaide, May 8. The Government has decided to immediately order six Maxim guns.
